What is LCRA?
LCRA stands for "Lower Colorado River." This is a public agency that is owned and created by the state of Texas. It has jurisdiction over the lower Colorado River, and is authorized to store water and sell it, the generation of electricity, avoid flood damage, and execute reforestation programs and soil conservation programs.
From 1935 until now, the LCRA still operates and develops various parks in the Lower Colorado. Provides a different kind of experience of heading for those who are up to the challenge and adventure, with a lot of fun activities for you, your family and friends!

LCRA parks developed many activities to offer. In more than 40 parks to choose from, staying a whole week of not looking a week to everyone. There are a number of things you can do in the parks. You can go swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, wildlife watching and seeing, and taking a river trip guided well-trained staff. There are playgrounds in the rustic High Land Lakes. Here, you can also go camping store. Ramps for boats, fire rings, picnic tables and trails, providing access to one scenario type and lake views. You can have a great trip to camp here for the whole family.
Educational Programs
Nature Parks and Nature Centers offer interesting educational programs for people of all ages. students in the twelfth degree and youth groups can participate in the Natural Science Programs, which teach about wildlife, water quality, geology, and many more topics the environment. The programs may vary from one day to several days, depending on your preference.
Adventure Programs
LCRA Parks and Recreation also offer water adventure programs. Here, visitors can go rafting, kayaking, and boating along the lakes of high land, Matagorda Bay, and Del Rio Colorado. Whether an individual or group of programs for schools, corporate groups or youth groups, the experience of the adventure is all the same.
Team Program creation
A Challenge Course at McKinney Roughs is equipped to host team-building programs. Schools, corporate groups and other organizations can enroll in this type of program that has personal and interpersonal growth as a goal.
